We are pleased to kick off the new year with two new key appointments for Growth Tribe. With Xavier Blanvillain joining as our new Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Eliza Jurewicz joining as our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), to help double down on growth in 2021 and beyond.
Despite the difficulties of COVID-19 and the bumpy ride that was 2020, we have made great strides forward. We raised 5 million euros in 2020, pivoting our business model and launching seven new online courses. All while expanding our headcount from 80 to 120 highly talented Tribers.
As we continue to grow and set our sights on 2021, it makes strategic sense to bring in talented leadership, in the form of Xavier and Eliza. They bring a great deal of experience and the right mindset to fit in here at Growth Tribe.
Xavier, joining as COO, hails from France. With a history in managing products, tech and services in competitive Global markets, and complex and fast-paced environments. He brings experience from working for the likes of Bunq, TomTom, Nokia and Philips. He loves setting up activities, overseeing strategic programmes, leading lean change and reshaping teams.
And to top it all off, Xavier is a passionate player and expert of Oware, the oldest known board game in the World.
Eliza, our new CFO, hails from Bulgaria & Poland. She joins with a breadth of experience, from tech startups to seasoned manufacturing and Oil & Gas businesses, to PE and investment banking. Eliza most recently spent two years working in the Education Industry in Sub-Saharan Africa where she managed an investment vehicle of $50 million. And she is looking forward to combining her experience in tech and education at Growth Tribe.
Eliza has two children and is a nature lover, spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors.
We very much look forward to seeing Eliza and Xavier settle in and thrive at Growth Tribe as the team continues to expand. And wish them the very best of welcomes.
Stay tuned for more in the meantime,
Peter van Sabben
