In the ever-changing world of product development and growth marketing, there is one thing that guarantees success: a great user experience.

UX Design is central to everything and it’s a fact that user-friendly designs drive better conversions, adoption and revenue. This has made UX Design a highly flexible, rewarding, and in-demand career path.

💡 In fact, UX Designers were the second most in-demand roles in 2020 (Onwardsearch, 2020)

We created our UX Design Immersive Course to help people dive straight into this exciting career. To ensure students are ready for the job-market, they work on personal projects to add their UX Design portfolios.

What they are able to achieve in as little as 12 weeks is always incredible - and here’s one of our favourites…

Hometi by Lara Vázquez

Lara is a marketer who took Growth Tribe’s UX Design Immersive Course to master her UX skills. She leveraged user research techniques and UX psychology principles to create Hometi - the best way to find beauty professionals and book treatments at home.

Lara's Design Challenge

Many of us book beauty treatments online (think apps like Treatwell) and head to the salon to get pampered. This got Lara thinking that she could make it even easier for users to treat themselves from the comfort of their own homes.

She designed Hometi, a platform that connects users with professionals who offer at-home beauty treatments. This idea takes all the friction out of booking and delivers a seamless at-home experience.

Lara's Design Process

Lara’s design process started with user research. She created a survey with multiple choice and open-ended questions about the user problems and expectations for an app like Hometi. This confirmed that many of her ideas would be useful to the app’s users and also helped generate new ideas that weren’t yet on the table.

Lara's UX Design Solution

Lara leveraged the feedback from her survey to design an app that makes booking beauty treatments at home simple and fun. By creating an experience similar to food delivery where you never even have to leave your house to access the service, she was able to simplify the beauty booking process and create a seamless user experience.

She leveraged UX sychology to create an interactive, dialogue-focused design that helps users find and book beauty professionals on the go.

After rounds of user testing on her interactive prototypes, she achieved her final design below.
